About us
About Bhogaapuram.com
An independent information portal covering Bhogapuram, Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, and the property, hotel and travel landscape across North Andhra.
What does this site cover?
Four things, in depth. First, the airport itself: what Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport actually is, when flights start, and what happens to the old Visakhapatnam civil enclave at INS Dega. Second, property — what land costs along the airport corridor, which approvals matter, and where the risk sits. Third, where to stay, which in a semi-rural mandal is a more interesting question than it sounds. Fourth, what to see once you land, from Bhimli beach to Borra Caves and Araku Valley.
The audience is deliberately mixed: travellers working out which airport their ticket is for, home buyers and NRIs weighing a plot, hotel and homestay owners trying to be found, and people who simply live in Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts and want to know what is being built next door.
What will you find here?
Eight sections, each written to be read on its own. Start wherever your question is.
How do we source and check our facts?
A page about a brand-new airport and a fast-moving land market is only useful if you can tell where the numbers came from. Here is how we work.
Are we affiliated with GMR, AAI or the government?
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL), GMR Airports, the Airports Authority of India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Government of Andhra Pradesh or any of its agencies. For official announcements — flight schedules, tariffs, tenders, notifications — always go to the operator or the relevant authority. Where we describe their decisions, we are reporting on them, not for them.
We also link out to booking sites, developers and property listings for your convenience. Those links are not endorsements, and we do not verify the offers behind them. Our privacy policy explains how outbound links and analytics are handled.
Why does this site exist?
Because North Andhra is changing faster than the information about it. In the space of a fortnight in August 2026, a region that had one civil enclave inside a naval air station got a ₹5,640 crore international airport with a 3,800 m runway, and the airport code VTZ moved 45 km up the coast. Land prices in a handful of villages moved 20 to 30 per cent. Meanwhile the practical questions — which airport is my flight from, how long is the drive from Vizag, is this layout approved, where can I sleep before a 6 am departure — were scattered across news clippings, WhatsApp forwards and broker brochures.
This site consolidates that into one place, in plain English, with the source and the date attached. If a fact is uncertain, we say it is uncertain. If a price is a broker estimate, we call it a broker estimate. That is the whole editorial idea.
How do I suggest a correction?
Use the contact page or write to bhogaapuram@gmail.com. Tell us the page, the line and what it should say — a link to a source helps most of all. Corrections that change a fact are made on the page itself, with the updated date, rather than tucked away.
The same address works for news tips, for hotel and homestay owners who want to be listed, and for property developers with a project in the Bhogapuram, Denkada or Tagarapuvalasa corridor. If you are looking for answers rather than sending them, the FAQ page is the fastest place to start.
Have something to tell us?
Corrections, news tips, listing enquiries and advertising — all of it comes through one form, and we read every message.
